Schools agreement and industrial action The AEU applied to the Australian Industrial Relations Commission for a secret ballot for industrial action following a breakdown in negotiations over a new agreement for teachers and principals. The AIRC formally approved the ballot application with amendments on 19 September 2007. Following irregularities in data supplied by the Victorian Government, the order was subsequently repealed and a new order issued on 12 October. The result of the ballot was announced on 13 November, with members overwhelmingly endorsing industrial action: Other associated documents posted here by law are: Information can also be found on the DEECD website.
