Adult Multicultural Education Service
A new agreement for teachers in the Adult Multicultural Education Service has now been lodged with the Workplace Authority.
It replaces the AMES Certified Agreement 2004, and also incorporates the existing 1994 and 1999 AMES Awards.

The new agreement features:
- Pay increases over the life of the agreement of 29%-31% - in line or better than other AEU sectors
- No trade offs in working conditions
- Improved access to long service leave, now after 7 year
- Back pay to April 22
Until the 2009 Agreement is signed off by the Workplace Authority, existing agreements and awards remain in force.
