New Educators Network
The New Educators Network gives anyone new to teaching, from student teachers to graduate members, a place to network, to get involved in AEU activities and campaigns, receive support, advice and professional development in your new career, and share your experiences and ideas. The AEU runs a Young Member Activist program every term, plus regular conferences and courses for trainees and graduate teachers - as well as offering links and involvement in the wider union movement. NEN meets regularly and meetings are open to all in their first four years of teaching or on teacher education courses. We'd love to see you there! To find out about the next meeting, join the email list for news of NEN events and information, or to raise issues that concern you as a new educator, email the AEU's graduate teacher organiser James Rankin or call him on (03) 9417 2822. Still not convinced the AEU is for you? Check out these reasons to join. And don't forget - student membership is FREE.
