AEU Conferences

The AEU runs several conferences over the year, designed to meet the professional needs of specific groups of members, such as early childhood, disability, TAFE, principals, SSOs (regional and metropolitan) and graduate teachers (both primary and secondary). Other events include: HSR Forums - 2008.

Conferences for 2008

SSO Metropolitan Conference: Wednesday, 17 September 2008.
This year's theme is "It's the little things that make a difference." The August Conference was so popular that we were oversubscribed, so a repeat Conference will be held in September.

Regional SSO Conferences
The AEU introduced Regional SSO Conferences in 2006, and they have become very popular and permanent events in the AEU schedule. Venues so far have included Warrnambool, Echuca, Shepparton, Wangaratta and Mildura.
The program, run with the Teacher Learning Network (TLN), reflects the needs of SSOs, and includes workshops on managing difficult behaviour, organisational health, and legal liability. This is a great opportunity to network with other SSOs, share ideas and learn new ways of overcoming old problems.
